Andy Langmuir & Scott Warren (a.k.a. 'we') are passionate, driven, and actively working musicians. Combined, we have over 30 years of writing, gigging, and touring experience.
For many of those years, finding a place to record an album, an e.p., heck, even a demo, for a price that made sense with the quality to match was impossible. Even in little, old Windsor.
All the best local studios were leftovers from a time very different from today. Record companies had big budgets to spend, so studios charged big fees while everyone got fat on the profits. Why? Because there was no other choice! The digital realm was an unknown, the internet was teething, Napster was just around the corner...nobody knew what was about to happen.
Then recording budgets shrank, record labels began to disappear, studios became nearly obsolete, and so the pendulum swung the other way. Any Johnny Come Lately with a four track and a computer was determined to be the next Phil Spector or Rick Rubin or Joe Barresi. To make a 'pro-quality' recording at little or no cost! Eureka!
Well, as we all know, things have a way of finding their level, and so they did.
Johnny realized that there can only be one Phil Spector, Rick Rubin, or Joe Barresi. When everybody's 'self-recorded' albums started sounding exactly alike, i.e. poor and nothing close to what is considered 'pro-quality', it was then that Johnny also realized that a recording professional is a must.
But who? Can I afford it? Will it sound like I imagine it can?
The answers are Rockerie Records, yes, and absolutely...but likely even better than you can imagine.
We have the tools to do it. We hope you decide to try us out!
Due to the unique nature of each individual artist, we quote per project. We don't charge an hourly rate, as we realize fiscal time restraints don't make great music.
For a quote, simply fill out the contact form, and we'll get back to you.
We firmly believe that the single most important thing about a recording is that it must be truly unique. Like every artist. Like every song. Like every note played. Unique. Individual.
We strive to achieve that very thing every time we position our mic's and turn on our monitors. The results are always special. The sound is always professional. The cost is always...I repeat...ALWAYS the best cost anywhere, anytime, period.
Rockerie Records clients have unanimously walked away from their experience here holding a pro-quality sound recording that far exceeded their expectations, and for a price that none thought was possible.
Rockerie Records is more than just a studio, because your music is more than just notes. Rockerie Records is a family of passionate musicians, driven by the desire of making the very best recording possible, every time, without exception.
Since it's inception, the Rockerie has hosted both local and out-of-city bands and solo projects from all walks of life.
"Somewhere along the line, this group of musicians realized that they were more than a group of friends playing songs at a bar. They were quickly becoming a well oiled machine. Thanks to the constant live performances at various venues, each member of My October is able to perform as one, producing a truly syncronized sound that is difficult to match for a band in this early stage of thier career."
Hailing from Toronto, this band boasts dirty rock grit with intelligent and sultry harmonies.
Hard rock writing duo Scott Warren & Andy Langmuir (yes, it's us) cut their teeth recording the sometimes-larger-than-life rock epic tunes that was (for a couple of years anyways) known as Lone Locust.
